Hi, I’m Amirali, a software engineer and MSc student in artificial intelligence based in Tehran, Iran. My interests span theoretical computer science, systems engineering, and deep learning.
I’m an enthusiastic open-source contributor and an avid Neovim user. When I’m away from the terminal, I play electric guitar.
What I’m exploring
Right now, I’m going deeper into foundational systems topics. I’m particularly interested in distributed systems such as CockroachDB and NATS, as well as scale-to-zero infrastructure in cloud environments.
On the machine-learning side, I’m interested in foundation models, especially for time-series data, and mechanistic interpretability. I follow the work of Neel Nanda and Chris Olah in this area.
About this site
I built this site as both a side project and a point of online presence on the internet. Also to have somewhere to share my notes and thoughts and practice technical and non-technical writing and and connect with others.
I’m not yet sure what direction it will take. In startup terms, it has yet to find product-market fit, and that’s part of the journey.
